About the Awards:

Coach of the Year Award

Awarded to one Girls Coach and one Boys Coach.

The Mass Youth Lacrosse Coach of the Year Award recognizes coaches who are about more than the final score. These coaches create a positive, supportive environment where every player can grow, compete, and enjoy the game. They teach sportsmanship, develop players of all ability levels, and make the season memorable for every child. Through their leadership, enthusiasm, and commitment, they leave a lasting impact on their team and community.

Sportsmanship Award

Awarded to one Girls Player and one Boys Player.

The Sportsmanship Award honors players who consistently demonstrate respect, integrity, and character on and off the field. These athletes compete with humility, treat teammates, opponents, officials, and coaches with respect, and represent the very best values of youth lacrosse.

Community Warrior Award

Awarded to an individual or town program.

The Community Warrior Award recognizes an individual or town program that goes above and beyond to strengthen their community. Whether through volunteerism, service, fundraising, outreach, or acts of kindness, this award celebrates those who make a meaningful impact both on and off the lacrosse field.

Officials of the Year

Awarded to one Girls Official and one Boys Official.

The Officials of the Year Award honors officials who demonstrate exceptional professionalism, fairness, and dedication to the game. These individuals serve as educators and role models, helping create a safe, respectful, and positive experience for players, coaches, and families while upholding the integrity of youth lacrosse.

Town Board Member of the Year Award

Awarded to one board member from an MYL member town program.

The Town Board Member of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding volunteer whose leadership and commitment have made a lasting impact on their local youth lacrosse program. Through countless hours behind the scenes, this individual helps build a strong, welcoming organization that provides opportunities for young athletes to learn, compete, and grow.

The Gavin Beaulieu Courage Award

Awarded to an individual connected to an MYL town program.

The Gavin Beaulieu Courage Award honors an individual who exemplifies extraordinary courage, resilience, and determination while facing challenges far greater than the game of lacrosse. Despite adversity, this individual continues to inspire others through their strength, positive attitude, and commitment to remaining involved in the sport and their lacrosse community. Their perseverance reminds us that the greatest victories often happen beyond the field.
