Looking to become a GIRLS Junior Official for the 2027 Spring Lacrosse Season in Massachusetts or Maine? Register here! During registration you must select which online Zoom session you will attend. If you need to change your date after registration, please contact erin.brogan@massyouthlax.org

Important Information:

• Registration to become a Junior Official is $60- this fee includes both your online and in person training, a referee shirt, a whistle and a yellow card AND your insurance. YOU NO LONGER NEED A USA LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP TO BECOME A JUNIOR OFFICIAL.
• All Junior Officials must:
  • One 2 hour online training session (choose your clinic date/time during this registration)
  • One on field training session (held in February & March- access to register for these dates will be shared only after you complete your online training and rules test)
  • Pass the MYL Junior Referee exam with a 90% or higher. All Junior Officials will be required to take this course through a Google Classroom account. Access to this classroom will be shared after you complete your online class.
  • All steps will be tracked through a Google Classroom. Please ensure you register with an email that can access Google Classroom. These links will be sent directly to the Junior Officials and parents will not be added.
  • While we know these are teenagers, and many getting their first "jobs", we do require communication directly from Junior Officials. We know parents will help in the background, and that is absolutely ok as teens are learning to navigate the "working world" but any communication regarding their job as a Junior Official must be from the Junior Officials.
  • Your confirmation email will be more than a receipt, please read fully for important information.
• NEW: Returning Junior Officials who have completed at least one season of officiating and are a Junior or Senior in High School may complete an additional on-field training to become certified to officiate 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade games as a second official.
  • Please note this additional training does have an additional $10 fee!
